In early March [2015] the Stanislavsky Electrotheater presented for the second time since its renovations, the premiere of a trilogy, this one, "The Blue Bird," directed by Boris Yukhananov. The dramatic basis for this show was the intricate interweaving of Maurice Maeterlinck's play with the memories of the legendary actors Aleftina Konstantinova and Vladimir Korenev. It is a true story of fate, love and transformation framed by a symbolic fairy tale, which in our time has a magical, spellbinding quality. It all is fit into a three-night performance about the knowledge of death and immortality, and of happiness as the quintessence of life's journey. Charged with theatrical stunts and attractions, the performance is as confessional as it is ironic....
